STANADOS KALOGERAS – “The Greek”

Well-known in the Softball Community, The Greek was a Sponsor, Manager and Player.

He was a “character” who had character. Everyone who knew him has a story to tell…
usually starting with his generosity.

We offer sincere condolences to The Greek’s family, loved ones and friends.

It is with deep sadness that the Softball Office shares the passing of RICHARD LONIGRO.

Remembered as an avid participant in North Shore Softball in the 1960’s, Richie is recognized as the original owner of Port Jefferson Sports. One honor Richie received was induction into the NYS USSSA Hall of Fame as a Sponsor.

Rich’s contributions to our Softball Program epitomized his love for local sports.
